Christmas is a commemorative date that awakens in many people the desire to help others.
We know that Christmas is a commercial season, but even with all the criticisms and controversies of the Christmas tradition, “at least on one day of the year we taste the sweetness inherent in the truth that the most blessed thing is to give than to receive” (RC Sproul).
Helping others without expecting anything in return is one of the best compassionate exercises you can do not only at this time but throughout the year.
Have you ever considered volunteering?
Volunteering means thinking about others, but when we give away our time or our resources, in addition to helping others, we do well to ourselves.
